Here’s a step-by-step guide for registering your cat and entering them into shows via CFA's eCat system on the CFA website:
1. Create an eCat Account (for users without an existing eCat account)
- Go to eCat and click Register.
- Complete the registration form with your personal details.
- After submitting, check your email for a confirmation link to activate your account.
2. Register Your Cat
- Log in to your eCat account.
- (Users with existing eCat accounts and who have previously linked or registered cats to it, may skip to step 3.)
- Click on Manage Cats
- You may either Register New Cat or Link Registered Cat. For those who have a pre-existing CFA Cat Registration Number, you may link your Cat's Registration Number to your eCat account.
- For those registering a new Household Pets or a Pedigree cat from a different registry, click on Register New Cat and follow through with the specific instructions. Please email us if you need to qualify the eligibility of your cat's pedigree.
3. Enter Cat Into Shows
- Click on "My Shows" on the left menu.
- Select the entry type (Kitten, Champion, Premier, etc.) and ensure you select the correct show name: "FELINE FANCIERS SOC OF SINGAPORE - Singapore, SINGAPORE - Date xx".
- Select the cat of your choice via the drop-down list. The form will automatically populate the registered details of your cat. (If you are unable to register your cat with the above instructions, you can still proceed to submit an entry - simply enter the cat's details manually and ignore the "Select Linked Cat" instructions.)
- You may also indicate other needs such as benching requests, "Grooming Space", "Handicapped", or "New Exhibitor" in that show entry form.
- Confirm your submission and ensure you receive an email with your entry details.
- Follow up by sending the appropriate payment proof to us.
Common Mistakes to Avoid:
- Incomplete Information: Ensure all fields are filled out correctly. Missing information may delay the registration.
- Wrong Class Selection: Double-check the correct class for your cat to avoid entry complications.
