Cat Show Q & A - part 1

Q: Now that i've decided to sign up for the show - will I need to bring a cage for my cat?

A: If you have a show tent which your cat is familiar with, this would be ideal. Your cat would definitely be more comfortable sitting in a show tent which it has gotten used to in its own surroundings at home.

If you do not have your own, you have the option of renting or purchasing PetMate Portable Pet Home.

The dimensions for the standard rental PetMate (medium) is : 24”L x18”W x20”H
If you are keen to rent/purchase the PetMate tent, we can offer more sizes - please refer to the price table below:

*Kindly note that these sizes are beyond the allocated 2.5ft x 2.5ft space each exhibitor is allowed, therefore the fee for an additional space has been added to accommodate this. The tent opening (W") would also have to face the side.

Simply state the size you would like to rent/purchase in your entry forms and we'll ensure that the tent is set up in your benching space on the day of the show.

To make your cat comfortable and feel secure, you will want to have a small towel or other covering on the bottom of the cage.

Alternatively, you may have noticed exhibitors bringing their own Sturdi show shelters like these:

If you are interested in purchasing a Sturdi shelter like the one shown above, our members do have a few new pieces available for sale. Please email us for more information.
